Klipsch La Scala AL6 and Klipschorn AK7 Speakers are Unveiled

Klipsch has refreshed its iconic Heritage Series with upgraded versions of the Klipschorn and La Scala speakers. The new models -La Scala AL6 and Klipschorn AK7- feature enhanced drivers and the option for an external active crossover. The Klipschorn is the company's longest-running loudspeaker in production, and the La Scala has been a favorite since its debut in 1963.

Enhanced Highs and Midrange: A K-771 compression driver, now paired with a patented wide-dispersion extended phase plug, provides exceptional high-frequency performance. Meanwhile, the new 3-inch KT-1133-HP midrange driver, longer than previous versions, boosts overall acoustic power.
Advanced Horn Technologies: The speakers integrate Klipsch’s classic Tractrix technology with a modified midrange horn (K-406 featuring MUMPS technology). This update improves time alignment and ensures an even frequency response, offering a more natural, immersive sound experience.
Improved Bass Response (La Scala Only): For the first time, the La Scala has been upgraded to a horn-loaded, vented system featuring a 12-inch woofer with a folded horn, resulting in deeper, tighter bass.
Optional Active Crossover: An external Heritage Active Crossover—designed by Klipsch’s VP of Technology and acoustician Roy Delgado—lets users fine-tune the low- and high-frequency sections. This addition offers performance enhancements beyond what’s achievable with a passive design.
