A new Belgian company called Bombard showed its first speaker at the Dutch Audio Event this weekend: the OB1, an open baffle with two 15 inch woofers and a brass horn on each side, 370 watts of amplification built in, and a price of EUR 15,000 a pair. We hold no open-baffle speaker, so it sent me to count what we do hold with no box at all: 28 panel speakers, 18 from Magnepan and 10 MartinLogan electrostatics, from the $1,295 LRS+ to the $120,000 Neolith. This post lines them all up, with the numbers only our database can give you: the eight shallowest floor-standers we hold are all Magnepans, the 20.7 is one of the five tallest speakers of the 1,657 we list, and 13 of the 21 floor-standers that are both 4 ohm and 86 dB or less come from the same brand.
