About REL

REL argued from the start that a subwoofer for music should not be fed from a line output but from the amplifier speaker terminals, so it hears exactly what the main speakers hear, including whatever the power amplifier does to the signal. That high-level Speakon connection is still the REL signature, and the company insists a sub should extend the main speakers rather than take over the bass from them.
