About GoldenEar

GoldenEar launched in 2010 with the Triton towers: narrow cloth-wrapped cabinets containing a folded-ribbon tweeter and a powered subwoofer section with passive radiators, so a single pair could carry a room without a separate sub. The folded ribbon squeezes air from between pleats rather than pistoning, giving a light diaphragm and wide dispersion.

The third company for Sandy Gross after Polk Audio and Definitive Technology.

Acquired by the AudioQuest parent company in 2020.
