About PSB

PSB was founded in 1972 by Paul Barton, who has designed every model since - an unbroken run of more than fifty years by one person, which almost no speaker company can match. Barton was among the designers who used the National Research Council anechoic and double-blind listening facilities in Ottawa, and PSB house voicing comes directly out of what that research found listeners prefer.

PAUL and his wife SUE Barton. Paul Barton has designed every PSB speaker since 1972 and did much of his listening research at the National Research Council in Ottawa.
