Klipsch unveils the updated Reference Speaker Range for 2022, designed to target home theater, gaming, and critical music listening applications. According to Klipsch, these speakers feature “the most dramatic upgrades” since the series’ launch.
New Klipsch 2022 Reference Series Loudspeakers
The updated Klipsch Reference range consists of 10 new speakers:
- 3 floor-standing speaker models: R-605FA, R-800, R-600F
- 2 bookshelf speaker models: R-50M, R-40M
- 2 centre channel speaker models: R-50C, R-30C
- 1 surround sound speakers: R-40SA
- 2 subwoofer models: R121SW, and R101SW.
One of the most significant changs on the series is the new 1-inch copper-anodized aluminum tweeter which sits inside an edge-to-edge Tractrix horn. Klipsch claims that this design offers a more accurate sound stage and larger listening area.
The loudspeakers also feature a new woofer material called Spun-copper Thermoformed Crystalline Polymer, and a new and improved crossover that the Klipsch claims that it delivers better accuracy and transparency.
