JBL Summit Makalu is a 3-way Passive Bass Reflex Floor-standing speaker by JBL. It was released in May 2025. It features a 3" Compression Driver Tweeter, 1 x 8" Midrange and 1 x 12" Hybrid Carbon Cellulose Composite (HC4) Woofer.
A D2830K 3 inch dual-diaphragm, dual-motor compression driver on a Sonoglass High-Definition Imaging horn, over a JMW200SC 8 inch mid-bass and a JW300SC 12 inch woofer. Both cones are JBL's triple-layer HC4, carbon fibre and pure pulp skins around a closed-cell foam core. Crossed over at 285 Hz and 1100 Hz.
