Verdict

A floor-standing against a center channel. They are built for different places in a room, so start with where these have to go rather than which looks better on paper.

AreaBetterWhy
Bass A Klipsch La Scala AL6 digs deeper - 40Hz against 54Hz.
Amplifier needs A Klipsch La Scala AL6 is more sensitive (103dB vs 90dB), so it goes louder on the same amplifier.
Amplifier match A Klipsch La Scala AL6 is the easier load at 8 ohms.
Size depends Wharfedale Heritage Centre is easier to place; Klipsch La Scala AL6 is bigger, which usually goes with fuller bass. Your room decides.
Type depends A Passive Floor-standing against a Passive Center Channel - a different job rather than a better one.
Expandability A Klipsch La Scala AL6: bi-amping. Klipsch La Scala AL6 sits in a wider range (12 models), so a matched surround system is easier later.
Price B Wharfedale Heritage Centre is cheaper - $1,998 against $14,998, about 87% less; arguably a different class.

A Klipsch La Scala AL6   B Wharfedale Heritage Centre
depends neither is better in the abstract - it turns on your room, placement or how you will use them. Only specs published for both speakers are judged; anything missing on either side is left out rather than guessed.

Which should you choose?

The usual trade-off: Klipsch La Scala AL6 measures better, Wharfedale Heritage Centre costs about 87% less. Whether that gap is worth the money is the call only you can make - and in a normal room it is often smaller than the numbers suggest. If a subwoofer is in your plans, the bass gap largely stops mattering - you would be crossing over above 54Hz anyway, which makes the cheaper Wharfedale Heritage Centre much easier to justify. In a large or open-plan room, Klipsch La Scala AL6 has the cabinet volume to fill it more easily; in a small room, near a wall or at desk distance, Wharfedale Heritage Centre is the easier speaker to get right.

And remember what a spec sheet cannot show: how each looks in your room and whether the finish suits it, what dealer support and warranty are like where you live, and how they actually sound to you. If you can hear them first - ideally with your own music - that will tell you more than any number above.
