Edifier MR4.5 is a 2-way Powered Bass Reflex Bookshelf speaker by Edifier. It was released in July 2026. MR4.5's built-in amplifier provides 80-watt RMS. The built-in power amplifier saves space & eliminates the need to connect Edifier MR4.5 to a stereo receiver or external power amp. It features a 1" Soft-Dome Tweeter and 1 x 4.5" Woofer.

Edifier publishes 6.63 kg as the net weight of the PAIR, not per speaker, so the weight columns are left empty. The active speaker is 229 mm deep and the passive one 208 mm; the row carries the active speaker. Bi-amped: 30 watts to each 4.5 inch mid-bass driver and 10 watts to each tweeter through an active crossover at 2.8 kHz. Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified, LDAC at up to 990 kbps. Bluetooth multipoint, two devices at once. There is no subwoofer output, no USB input and no optical input; the only output is the 3.5 mm headphone socket on the front. Signal-to-noise ratio 89 dB(A) in monitor mode.

The speaker has a frequency range of 50-40k Hz. Edifier MR4.5 has an MSRP of 250$ per pair.

Recommended Accessories

Here is a list of accessories that we think you may need for the Edifier MR4.5.

  • Vibration Isolators: IsoAcoustics isolators are our favorite isolators but you may find more affordable options too.
  • Acoustic Panels and Treatments: Your room is as important as your stereo equipment so acoustic treatments goes a long way in improving the overall performance.
  • Speaker Stands: Stands bring your bookshelf speakers to ideal height (rule of thumb is to have the tweeter level with your ear in your listening position), helps stability and acoustical isolation.
