Made by Castle

Castle Walmer 2 is a 3-way Passive Bass Reflex Floor-standing speaker by Castle. It was released in September 2026. It features a 0.47x1.77" True Ribbon Tweeter, 1 x 4.5" Midrange and 2 x 6.5" Woven Carbon Fibre Woofer.

A 3-way floorstander: two 150 mm woven carbon fibre bass cones, a 115 mm carbon fibre midrange in its own sealed-off enclosure, and the Walmer 1's 12 x 45 mm true ribbon. 89 dB at 2.83 V and "8 ohm compatible", but the published minimum is 3.4 ohms, so it wants an amp that is happy into 4 ohms. 25-150 W. 38 Hz-20 kHz +/-3 dB, 32 Hz at -6 dB. Castle's spec table says bass reflex; some launch material says transmission line, and the product page carries Tintagel 2 porting text, so treat the bass loading as unconfirmed. Hand-built in the UK.

The speaker has a frequency range of 38-20k Hz and a sensitivity of 89 dB. Castle Walmer 2 has an MSRP of 7499$ per pair.
