Power Range

Power range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. Staying within that range gives nominal performance; driving the speaker beyond its maximum wattage can damage it.

RP-8203F can handle a max power of 150 watts RMS, whereas RP-5103SA has a max power handling value of 75 watts RMS, 75 watts less than the RP-8203F.

Note that higher power handling does not make a speaker louder: that depends mainly on sensitivity and impedance. The calculator below shows how loud each of these actually plays on a real amplifier.

Input Type and Bi-Amping / Bi-Wiring

RP-8203F features Binding post posts which make bi-amping or bi-wiring possible. RP-5103SA has a Binding post which doesn't feature bi-amping/bi-wiring.

Verdict

Siblings in Klipsch's Reference Premiere (RP) III series, so they share a family sound. It comes down to size, output and price.

AreaBetterWhy
HeadroomAKlipsch RP-8203F takes more power (150W vs 75W) - more in hand in a big room.
SizedependsKlipsch RP-5103SA is easier to place; Klipsch RP-8203F is bigger, which usually goes with fuller bass. Your room decides.
TypedependsA Passive Floor-standing against a Passive Surround - a different job rather than a better one.
CabinetdependsPorted vs Sealed. Sealed is tighter and happier near a wall; ported digs lower but wants space behind it.
ExpandabilitydependsKlipsch RP-8203F: bi-amping; Klipsch RP-5103SA: Atmos drivers.
PriceBKlipsch RP-5103SA is cheaper - $650 against $1,600, about 59% less; arguably a different class.

A Klipsch RP-8203F  B Klipsch RP-5103SA
depends neither is better in the abstract - it turns on your room, your system or how you will use them. Only specs published for both speakers are judged; anything missing on either side is left out rather than guessed.

Which should you choose?

Klipsch RP-8203F is ahead, but only on 1 of the measured areas, and it costs about 146% more. That is a lot of money for a narrow margin on paper - Klipsch RP-5103SA looks like the sensible buy unless something else about the Klipsch RP-8203F appeals to you. In a large or open-plan room, Klipsch RP-8203F has the cabinet volume to fill it more easily; in a small room, near a wall or at desk distance, Klipsch RP-5103SA is the easier speaker to get right. Think about the whole system, not just the speakers: the roughly $950 saved by taking the cheaper pair would buy a subwoofer or a better amplifier, and either usually does more for the sound than the difference between these two.

And remember what a spec sheet cannot show: how each looks in your room and whether the finish suits it, what dealer support and warranty are like where you live, and how they actually sound to you. If you can hear them first - ideally with your own music - that will tell you more than any number above.
