Both amplifiers and both views share one scale, so everything here is directly comparable. Hover a box for its dimensions.

One scale for both, aligned at the back panels the way they would sit against a wall, so the deeper one visibly stands further out.

NAD C 3050 needs about 11% more shelf area. NAD C 3050 is 34mm deeper - the measurement that decides whether a rack door closes. NAD C 3050 is 49mm taller.

Inputs and Outputs

The input and output selections that are offered is an important factor when comparing two amplifiers. Here you can find how the I/O selections of the NAD C 3050 and Audiolab 8300A differs from each other.

Balanced connections

Audiolab 8300A has balanced XLR connections and NAD C 3050 does not. A balanced cable carries the signal twice, on two conductors of opposite polarity. Interference picked up along the way lands on both equally and cancels when the two are recombined at the far end, so the longer the cable run and the noisier the surroundings, the more it is worth. Whether it also yields more power depends on how the amplifier is built inside - some are balanced end to end, others convert to single-ended internally and deliver the same either way.

Verdict

No single best amplifier here. What decides it is what you have to drive, what you need to plug in, and how much of the system you want in one box.

AreaBetterWhy
PowerANAD C 3050 has more power - 100W against 75W into 8 ohms. That is about 1.2dB, which is a small step in loudness but real headroom on peaks.
Grip on hard loadsBAudiolab 8300A holds up better into a 4-ohm load: its output increases strongly to 115W, where the other barely increases. That matters with demanding speakers far more than the 8-ohm figure does.
Noise floorBAudiolab 8300A is the quieter design on paper - 107dB against 95dB. Audible mainly with sensitive speakers in a quiet room.
Built-in DACANAD C 3050 has a DAC on board; the other needs an external one, which is another box, another power lead and another purchase.
Room to growevenly matchedThe same expansion options on both.
Amplifier classdependsNAD C 3050 is Class D and Audiolab 8300A is Class A/B. Class D runs cool and draws almost nothing at idle; Class A/B runs warm and is the long-established mainstream choice. Modern examples of both measure well - judge by the rest of the page.
PriceBAudiolab 8300A costs less - $1,699 against $1,899 at list.

A NAD C 3050  B Audiolab 8300A
depends neither is better in the abstract - it turns on your room, your system or how you will use them. Only specs published for both amplifiers are judged; anything missing on either side is left out rather than guessed.

Which should you choose?

Neither runs away with it - they trade advantages. Let the "depends" rows and the speakers you already own settle it. If your speakers are a difficult load - 4 ohms nominal, big woofers, or a sensitivity in the low 80s - Audiolab 8300A is the safer partner, because how an amplifier behaves when the impedance drops matters more than its 8-ohm rating. If you already own a DAC or a streamer, the built-in one is money you are paying twice for, and Audiolab 8300A becomes the more rational buy.

What a spec sheet cannot show: how either sounds with your speakers, how the controls feel day to day, and what the app is like to live with - which is where most all-in-one amplifiers are actually won or lost. Power figures are the manufacturers' own and are not measured to a common standard, so treat small differences as noise. If you can hear both, that will tell you more than any row above.
