One of the fundamental differences between these two speakers is that Triton Three+ is a 3-way design whereas Triton Seven is a 2-way speaker. 3-way designs utilize a midrange driver in addition to the tweeter and woofer on 2-way designs. Designing a crossover for a 3-way speaker is a complicated process and generally increases the overall cost of the speaker. Triton Three+ features a " High-Velocity Folded Ribbon Tweeter , a 4.5" Midrange and 1 x 5" Polymer Woofer . On the other hand, Triton Seven features a " Folded Ribbon Tweeter and 2 x 5.25" Polypropylene Woofer .
Triton Three+ has a frequency range of 21-35k Hz whereas Triton Seven has a frequency range of 29-35k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 21Hz, the Triton Three+ can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the Triton Seven's min frequency of 29Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
Triton Three+ and Triton Seven has the same Impedance of 8 ohms but where they differ is the sensitivity levels. Triton Three+ sensitivity is rated at 90 dB and Triton Seven's is at 89 dB. This 1 dB difference makes GoldenEar Triton Three+ a more sensitive speaker compared to GoldenEar Triton Seven, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.
is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. While using an amplifier within this range ensures the nominal performance , inputting a power that is higher than the max wattage can result in a damaged speaker.
Triton Three+ can handle a max power of 400 watts RMS from the amp the whereas Triton Seven has a max power handling value of 300 watts RMS, 100 watts less than the Triton Three+.
Keep in mind that higher max power handling value doesn't necesssarily make that a louder speaker compared to a lower max handling speaker. Loudness or the sound level is also impacted by parameters such as Impededance, sensitivity and system efficiencies.
Input Type and Bi-Amping / Bi-Wiring
Triton Three+ features 5-way Post type posts and Triton Seven has a 5-way Post type posts. None of these speakers feature bi-amping/bi-wiring.

GoldenEar Triton Three+ is clearly the larger of the two speakers. Its body is 29mm wider, 102mm taller and 78mm deeper than GoldenEar Triton Seven.
Base Surface Area Comparison
Base surface area of a loudspeaker may become a determining factor when the space in your room or desk is limited.
The base surface area of the GoldenEar Triton Three+ is approximately 1323.1cm2 / 205.1inch2 and base area of the GoldenEar Triton Seven is approximately 985.2cm2 / 152.7inch2. The Triton Three+ requires 34% more surface area than the Triton Seven which gives it a small disadvantage on placement in tight spaces.
