The JBL L100 Classic MKII  ($4800/pair) and L82 Classic MKII ($2,900/pair) were actually announced back in May 2023 and I apologize I can only add them to our database now (thanks to our reader that reminded us these).  These are the updated versions of the L100 Classic  and JBL L82 Classic  we loved and recommended to many of our users who are looking for a perfect blend of vintage looks and top performance.

JBL made few improvements to upgrade acoustic components in order to improve the sound quality hence make them even more attractive for the critical listeners. Here are the improvements over their predecessors:

  • Woofer: upgraded woofer design to reduce distortion
  • Tweeter and Midrange: tweeter and midrange drivers(L100 MKII only) design are refined to deliver higher performance
  • Crossover and Bi-wiring: a change to the crossover design is made to provide dual inputs for use in bi-wiring applications
  • Binding posts: New dual sets of premium gold-plated binding post terminals
