Vestia No1 features a 1" Al/Mg inverted dome Tweeter and 1 x 6.5" Slatefiber Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 2800Hz. On the other hand, the Vestia Center features a 1" Al/Mg inverted dome Tweeter and 2 x 6.5" Slatefiber Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 2700Hz.

Frequency Response

Vestia No1 has a frequency range of 56-30k Hz whereas Vestia Center has a frequency range of 58-30k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 56Hz, the Vestia No1 can go slightly deeper then the Vestia Center's min frequency of 58Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity

Vestia No1 and Vestia Center have the same Impedance of 8 ohms but where they differ is the sensitivity levels. Vestia No1 sensitivity is rated at 89.5 dB and the Vestia Center's is at 91.5 dB. This 2 dB difference makes the Focal Vestia Center a more sensitive speaker compared to Focal Vestia No1, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.

Power Range

Power range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. While using an amplifier within this range ensures the nominal performance , inputting a power that is higher than the max wattage can result in a damaged speaker.

Vestia No1 can handle a max power of 200 watts RMS from the amp the whereas Vestia No1 has a max power handling value of 120 watts RMS , 80 watts less than the Vestia Center.

Keep in mind that a higher max power handling value doesn't necessarily make that a louder speaker compared to a lower max handling speaker. Loudness or the sound level is also impacted by parameters such as Impedance, sensitivity and system efficiencies.

Cabinet Type and Port Position

Vestia No1 has a front firing port whereas Vestia Center has a rear firing ports. Focal Vestia No1's front-firing port gives more flexibility in placement in regards to proximity to walls compared to Focal Vestia Center with its rear-firing port.
