Airmotiv XC2 features a 25×32 mm" folded ribbon Tweeter , a 5.25" Midrange and 2 x 6" woven fiber cone Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 600 Hz, 3.1 kHz. On the other hand, the Airmotiv XT3 features a 25×32 mm" folded ribbon Tweeter , a 5.25" Midrange and 3 x 8" woven fiber cone Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 300 Hz, 3.1 kHz.
Frequency Response
Airmotiv XC2 has a frequency range of 40 Hz – 27 kHz whereas Airmotiv XT3 has a frequency range of 30 Hz – 27 kHz. With a minimum frequency of 30Hz, the Airmotiv XT3 can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the Airmotiv XC2's min frequency of 40Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
Airmotiv XC2 and Airmotiv XT3 have the same Impedance of 4 ohms but where they differ is the sensitivity levels. Airmotiv XC2 sensitivity is rated at 89 dB and the Airmotiv XT3's is at 91 dB. This 2 dB difference makes the Emotiva Airmotiv XT3 a more sensitive speaker compared to Emotiva Airmotiv XC2, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.
One thing to keep in mind that the lower impedance speakers, especially the ones that are rated at 4 ohms may put more pressure on the amplifier unit comared to higher impedance speakers especially at high volume levels, so make sure the amp you pair with the Airmotiv XC2 and the Airmotiv XC2 can provide this impedance level.

Power Range
Power
range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. While using an amplifier within this range ensures the nominal performance , inputting a power that is higher than the max wattage can result in a damaged speaker.
Airmotiv XC2 can handle a max power of 300 watts RMS from the amp the whereas Airmotiv XC2 has a max power handling value of 150 watts RMS , 150 watts less than the Airmotiv XT3.
Keep in mind that a higher max power handling value doesn't necessarily make that a louder speaker
compared to a lower max handling speaker. Loudness or the sound level is also impacted by parameters
such as Impedance, sensitivity and system efficiencies.
Input Type and Bi-Amping / Bi-Wiring
Both Airmotiv XC2 and Airmotiv XT3 features dual binding post speaker terminals for bi-amping or bi-wiring.

Cabinet Type and Port Position
Both Airmotiv XC2 and Airmotiv XT3 have rear firing ports. Rear ported speakers generally need more room between the backside of the speaker and the wall compared to sealed and front/bottom ported speakers. Placing the speakers too close to the walls may cause the bass to sound boomy.

Physical Specs
Size of a speaker can sometimes become an important decision factor due to space constraints or in some cases purely for esthetic reasons. In this section, we are going to compare Emotiva Airmotiv XC2's and Emotiva Airmotiv XT3's external dimensions. Emotiva Airmotiv XC2 has external dimensions of 216 x 800 x 260 mm ( 8.5” x 31.5” x 10.25”) whereas Emotiva Airmotiv XT3 has external dimensions of 1240 x 273 x 425 mm ( 48.7” x 10.75” x 16.75”) .
Emotiva Airmotiv XC2 is 1024mm shorter and 165mm less deeper than Emotiva Airmotiv XT3 but it is also 485mm wider.

The Airmotiv XC2 requires 79% more surface area than the Airmotiv XT3 which gives it a small disadvantage on placement in tight spaces.
