Airmotiv XC2 features a 25×32 mm" folded ribbon Tweeter, a 5.25" Midrange and 2 x 6" woven fiber cone Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 600 Hz, 3.1 kHz. On the other hand, the Airmotiv XC3 features a 25×32 mm" folded ribbon Tweeter, a 5.25" Midrange and 4 x 6" woven fiber cone Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 370 Hz, 2.8 kHz.
Frequency Response
Airmotiv XC2 has a frequency range of 40 Hz – 27 kHz whereas Airmotiv XC3 has a frequency range of 45 Hz – 27 kHz. With a minimum frequency of 40Hz, the Airmotiv XC2 can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the Airmotiv XC3's min frequency of 45Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
Airmotiv XC2 and Airmotiv XC3 have the same Impedance of 4 ohms but where they differ is the sensitivity levels. Airmotiv XC2 sensitivity is rated at 89 dB and the Airmotiv XC3's is at 90 dB. This 1 dB difference makes the Emotiva Airmotiv XC3 a more sensitive speaker compared to Emotiva Airmotiv XC2, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.
One thing to keep in mind that the lower impedance speakers, especially the ones that are rated at 4 ohms may put more pressure on the amplifier unit comared to higher impedance speakers especially at high volume levels, so make sure the amp you pair with the Airmotiv XC2 and the Airmotiv XC2 can provide this impedance level.

Power
range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. Staying
within that range gives nominal performance; driving the speaker beyond its maximum wattage can damage it.
Airmotiv XC3 can handle a max power of 250 watts RMS, whereas Airmotiv XC2 has a max power handling value of 150 watts RMS, 100 watts less than the Airmotiv XC3.
Note that higher power handling does not make a speaker louder: that depends mainly on

Cabinet Type and Port Position
Both Airmotiv XC2 and Airmotiv XC3 have rear firing ports. Rear ported speakers generally need more room between the backside of the speaker and the wall compared to sealed and front/bottom ported speakers. Placing the speakers too close to the walls may cause the bass to sound boomy.

Physical Specs

Which should you choose?
Neither runs away with it - they trade advantages. Let the "depends" rows and your own room settle it. If a subwoofer is in your plans, the bass gap largely stops mattering - you would be crossing over above 45Hz anyway, so judge these on the other rows instead.
