Balanced connections

Advance Paris A12 Classic has balanced XLR connections and Naim Uniti Atom does not. A balanced cable carries the signal twice, on two conductors of opposite polarity. Interference picked up along the way lands on both equally and cancels when the two are recombined at the far end, so the longer the cable run and the noisier the surroundings, the more it is worth. Whether it also yields more power depends on how the amplifier is built inside - some are balanced end to end, others convert to single-ended internally and deliver the same either way.

Verdict

A valve amplifier against a solid-state one. They are not really rivals: they differ in character, in what they will drive and in what owning them involves, so start there rather than with the watts.

AreaBetterWhy
PowerAAdvance Paris A12 Classic has more power - 190W against 40W into 8 ohms. That is about 6.8dB - a different class of amplifier rather than a bigger version of the same one, and far more than most rooms will ever ask for.
Built-in DACBBoth decode on board. Naim Uniti Atom goes higher - 384kHz against 192kHz. Very few recordings exist above 192kHz, so treat this as headroom, not as sound quality.
StreamingBOnly Naim Uniti Atom has Chromecast and Roon.
Phono stagedependsAdvance Paris A12 Classic has a built-in phono stage and Naim Uniti Atom does not. Decisive if you own a turntable, completely irrelevant if you do not - and an outboard phono stage is easy to add later either way.
Room to growAOnly Advance Paris A12 Classic offers a pre-out/main-in loop - which decides whether you can add a subwoofer or a power amplifier later without replacing the box.
Amplifier typedependsAdvance Paris A12 Classic is Hybrid and Naim Uniti Atom is Solid State. Valve designs are usually warmer and softer at the limits and need their tubes replaced eventually; solid state is the lower-maintenance choice. This is a taste and ownership decision, not a quality one.
Shelf spacedependsNaim Uniti Atom takes up about 62% less shelf area (781cm² against 2043cm²), and it is 157mm shallower, which is the measurement that decides whether a rack door shuts.
PriceBNaim Uniti Atom costs less - $3,799 against $4,499 at list.
Watts per dollarAAdvance Paris A12 Classic is the cheaper watt - about $24 per watt against $95. A blunt measure, and it says nothing about how either sounds, but it is the honest one for raw output.

A Advance Paris A12 Classic  B Naim Uniti Atom
depends neither is better in the abstract - it turns on your room, your system or how you will use them. Only specs published for both amplifiers are judged; anything missing on either side is left out rather than guessed.

Which should you choose?

The usual trade-off: Advance Paris A12 Classic measures better, Naim Uniti Atom costs about 16% less. With most speakers in most rooms that gap is smaller in practice than it looks here. Start with the room. In a large or open-plan room, or with speakers that are hard to drive - low sensitivity, or an impedance that dips - Advance Paris A12 Classic has the headroom, and headroom is what stops an amplifier hardening up on peaks. At desk distance or in a small room, 40 watts is already more than most people ever use, and the extra 150 watts would be headroom you pay for and never hear. If you play records, Advance Paris A12 Classic saves you buying a phono stage; if you do not, ignore that row entirely.

What a spec sheet cannot show: how either sounds with your speakers, how the controls feel day to day, and what the app is like to live with - which is where most all-in-one amplifiers are actually won or lost. Power figures are the manufacturers' own and are not measured to a common standard, so treat small differences as noise. If you can hear both, that will tell you more than any row above.
