Drivers
One of the fundamental differences between these two speakers is that Lumina V Amator is a 3-way design whereas the Lumina II Amator is a 2-way speaker. 3-way designs utilize a midrange driver in addition to the tweeter and woofer on 2-way designs. Designing a crossover for a 3-way speaker is a complicated process and generally increases the overall cost of the speaker.

Lumina V Amator features a 1.125" Soft-Dome Tweeter, a 6.0" Midrange and 2 x 6.5" Cellulose Pulp Woofer. On the other hand, the Lumina II Amator features a 1.1" Silk Soft-Dome Tweeter and 1 x 6" Paper Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 2600 Hz.
Frequency Response
Lumina V Amator has a frequency range of 38-24k Hz whereas Lumina II Amator has a frequency range of 55-24k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 38Hz, the Lumina V Amator can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the Lumina II Amator's min frequency of 55Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
Lumina V Amator and Lumina II Amator have the same Impedance of 4 ohms but where they differ is the sensitivity levels. Lumina V Amator sensitivity is rated at 90 dB and the Lumina II Amator's is at 86 dB. This 4 dB difference makes the Sonus faber Lumina V Amator a more sensitive speaker compared to Sonus faber Lumina II Amator, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.
One thing to keep in mind that the lower impedance speakers, especially the ones that are rated at 4 ohms may put more pressure on the amplifier unit comared to higher impedance speakers especially at high volume levels, so make sure the amp you pair with the Lumina V Amator and the Lumina V Amator can provide this impedance level.

within that range gives nominal performance; driving the speaker beyond its maximum wattage can damage it.
Lumina V Amator can handle a max power of 300 watts RMS, whereas Lumina II Amator has a max power handling value of 150 watts RMS, 150 watts less than the Lumina V Amator.
Note that higher power handling does not make a speaker louder: that depends mainly on
