Aspen FR30 features a 2.5" Teonex planar magnetic Planar Magnetic Tweeter, a 10" Midrange and 4 x 8" Composite sandwich Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 400 Hz, 2500 Hz – LR4. On the other hand, the Aspen FR10 features a 2.5" Teonex planar magnetic Planar Magnetic Tweeter, a 8" Midrange and 2 x 6.5" Composite sandwich Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 550 Hz, 1750 Hz - Linkwitz-Riley 4th order acoustic.

Frequency Response

Aspen FR30 has a frequency range of 23-20k Hz whereas Aspen FR10 has a frequency range of 32-20k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 23Hz, the Aspen FR30 can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the Aspen FR10's min frequency of 32Hz.

Neither pair reaches down to 20Hz, the usual definition of full-range, which is normal for speakers of this size. Impedance and Sensitivity

Aspen FR30 and Aspen FR10 have the same Impedance of 4 ohms but where they differ is the sensitivity levels. Aspen FR30 sensitivity is rated at 88 dB and the Aspen FR10's is at 86.5 dB. This 1 dB difference makes the PS Audio Aspen FR30 a more sensitive speaker compared to PS Audio Aspen FR10, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.

Power range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. Staying within that range gives nominal performance; driving the speaker beyond its maximum wattage can damage it.

Aspen FR30 can handle a max power of 600 watts RMS, whereas Aspen FR10 has a max power handling value of 200 watts RMS, 400 watts less than the Aspen FR30.
