What size room are the JBL 4369 and JBL S4700 speakers good for?
The size of the room in which you are planning to use these loudspeakers is an important decision

One of the fundamental differences between these two speakers is that 4369 is a 2-way design whereas the S4700 is a 3-way speaker. 3-way designs utilize a midrange driver in addition to the tweeter and woofer on 2-way designs. Designing a crossover for a 3-way speaker is a complicated process and generally increases the overall cost of the speaker.

4369 features a 3" Teonex Compression Driver Tweeter and 1 x 15" Pure Pulp Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 800 Hz. On the other hand, the S4700 features a " Tweeter and 1 x 15" Pure Pulp Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 80Hz and 12000Hz.
Frequency Response
4369 has a frequency range of 28-25k Hz whereas S4700 has a frequency range of 38-40k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 28Hz, the 4369 can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the S4700's min frequency of 38Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
4369 and S4700 have the same Impedance of 6 ohms but where they differ is the sensitivity levels. 4369 sensitivity is rated at 93 dB and the S4700's is at 94 dB. This 1 dB difference makes the JBL S4700 a more sensitive speaker compared to JBL 4369, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.

Power
range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. While using
an amplifier within this range ensures the nominal performance , inputting a power that is higher than the
max wattage can result in a damaged speaker.
4369 can handle a max power of 350 watts RMS from the amp the whereas S4700 has a max power handling value of 300 watts RMS, 50 watts less than the 4369.
Keep in mind that a higher max power handling value doesn't necessarily make that a louder speaker
compared to a lower max handling speaker. Loudness or the sound level is also impacted by parameters
such as Impedance, sensitivity and system efficiencies.
Input Type and Bi-Amping / Bi-Wiring
4369 features Binding post type posts and S4700 has a Binding post type posts. None of these speakers feature bi-amping/bi-wiring.
Physical Specs
Size of a speaker can sometimes become an important decision factor due to space constraints or in some cases purely for esthetic reasons. In this section, we are going to compare JBL 4369's and JBL S4700's external dimensions. JBL 4369 is clearly the larger of the two speakers. Its body is 130mm wider, 52mm taller and 99mm deeper than JBL S4700.
