704 S2 has a frequency range of 48-28k Hz whereas 702 S2 has a frequency range of 46-28k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 46Hz, the 702 S2 can go slightly deeper then the 704 S2's min frequency of 48Hz.

within that range gives nominal performance; driving the speaker beyond its maximum wattage can damage it.
702 S2 can handle a max power of 300 watts RMS, whereas 704 S2 has a max power handling value of 150 watts RMS, 150 watts less than the 702 S2.
