A1 Wireless features a 0.75" Silk Soft-Dome Tweeter and 1 x 2.75" Aramid Fiber Woofer . On the other hand, the A5+ features a 0.75" Silk Soft-Dome Tweeter and 1 x 5" Kevlar Woofer .
Frequency Response
A1 Wireless has a frequency range of 65-22k Hz whereas A5+ has a frequency range of 50-22k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 50Hz, the A5+ can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the A1 Wireless's min frequency of 65Hz.

Cabinet Type and Port Position
A1 Wireless has a front firing port whereas A5+ has a rear firing ports. Audioengine A1 Wireless's front-firing port gives more flexibility in placement in regards to proximity to walls compared to Audioengine A5+ with its rear-firing port.

Size of a speaker can sometimes become an important decision factor due to space constraints or in some cases purely for esthetic reasons. In this section, we are going to compare Audioengine A1 Wireless's and Audioengine A5+'s external dimensions. Audioengine A5+ is clearly the larger of the two speakers. Its body is 76.2mm wider, 117.4mm taller and 66.6mm deeper than Audioengine A1 Wireless.

Base surface area of a loudspeaker may become a determining factor when the space in your room or desk is limited.
The base surface area of the Audioengine A1 Wireless is approximately 192.6cm2 / 29.9inch2 and base area of the Audioengine A5+ is approximately 452.1cm2 / 70.1inch2. The A1 Wireless requires 57% less surface area than the A5+ which gives it a small advantage on placement in tight spaces.
