ES10 features a 1" Terylene Soft-Dome Tweeter and 1 x 4" Mica-reinforced polypropylene Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 2500Hz. On the other hand, the XT15 features a 1" Soft-Dome Tweeter and 1 x 5.25" Bi-laminate paper Woofer.
Frequency Response
ES10 has a frequency range of 78-40k Hz whereas XT15 has a frequency range of 48-40k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 48Hz, the XT15 can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the ES10's min frequency of 78Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
ES10 and XT15 have the same Impedance of 8 ohms but where they differ is the sensitivity levels. ES10 sensitivity is rated at 84 dB and the XT15's is at 86 dB. This 2 dB difference makes the Polk XT15 a more sensitive speaker compared to Polk ES10, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.

Power
range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. Staying
within that range gives nominal performance; driving the speaker beyond its maximum wattage can damage it.
XT15 can handle a max power of 150 watts RMS, whereas ES10 has a max power handling value of 100 watts RMS, 50 watts less than the XT15.
Note that higher power handling does not make a speaker louder: that depends mainly on

depends neither is better in the abstract - it turns on your room, your system or how you will use them. Only specs published for both speakers are judged; anything missing on either side is left out rather than guessed.
Which should you choose?
Polk XT15 is the easier recommendation: it leads on most of the measured areas and costs less. Take Polk ES10 if its size, looks or fit in your room suit you better. If a subwoofer is in your plans, the bass gap largely stops mattering - you would be crossing over above 78Hz anyway, so judge these on the other rows instead. Match it to your room: we rate Polk ES10 the better fit for near-field listening and a small room, and Polk XT15 for a mid-size room and a large room.
