Passif 50 features a 1" titanium dome with ferrofluid and neodymium magnet Dome Tweeter and 1 x 6.5" cast aluminum basket, paper cone Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 1800Hz. On the other hand, the 770 features a 1.25" Soft-Dome Tweeter and 1 x 8" mineral-loaded polyproylene Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 2900Hz.
Frequency Response
Passif 50 has a frequency range of 50-20k Hz whereas 770 has a frequency range of 42-20,000 Hz. With a minimum frequency of 42Hz, the 770 can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the Passif 50's min frequency of 50Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
Passif 50 is a 6 ohms speaker compared to the 770 which has a nominal impedance of 8 ohms.
These two speakers also have different sensitivity levels. Passif 50 sensitivity is rated at 87 dB and the 770's is rated at 88 dB. This 1 dB difference makes the PSB Passif 50 a more sensitive speaker compared to Mission 770, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.

range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. Staying
within that range gives nominal performance; driving the speaker beyond its maximum wattage can damage it.
Both handle the same maximum of 200 watts RMS, though Passif 50 is rated 30-200 Watts watts and 770 25-200 watts.

A PSB Passif 50 B Mission 770
depends neither is better in the abstract - it turns on your room, your system or how you will use them. Only specs published for both speakers are judged; anything missing on either side is left out rather than guessed.
Which should you choose?
Mission 770 is ahead, but only on 1 of the measured areas, and it costs about 100% more. That is a lot of money for a narrow margin on paper - PSB Passif 50 looks like the sensible buy unless something else about the Mission 770 appeals to you. If a subwoofer is in your plans, the bass gap largely stops mattering - you would be crossing over above 50Hz anyway, which makes the cheaper PSB Passif 50 much easier to justify. Think about the whole system, not just the speakers: the roughly $2,501 saved by taking the cheaper pair would buy a subwoofer or a better amplifier, and either usually does more for the sound than the difference between these two.
And remember what a spec sheet cannot show: how each looks in your room and whether the finish suits it, what dealer support and warranty are like where you live, and how they actually sound to you. If you can hear them first - ideally with your own music - that will tell you more than any number above.
