QX-2 MKII features a 1.5" Textile Ring Dome Tweeter and 1 x 6.5" Composite fibre Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 2.2kHz. On the other hand, the QX-4 MKII features a 1.5" Textile Ring Dome Tweeter and 2 x 6.5" Composite fibre Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 2.2kHz.

Frequency Response

QX-2 MKII has a frequency range of 44-24k Hz whereas QX-4 MKII has a frequency range of 36-24k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 36Hz, the QX-4 MKII can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the QX-2 MKII's min frequency of 44Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity

QX-2 MKII and QX-4 MKII have the same Impedance of 4 ohms and their sensitivity is also same at 88 dB.

One thing to keep in mind that the lower impedance speakers, especially the ones that are rated at 4 ohms may put more pressure on the amplifier unit comared to higher impedance speakers especially at high volume levels, so make sure the amp you pair with the QX-2 MKII and the QX-2 MKII can provide this impedance level.

Power Range

Power range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. While using an amplifier within this range ensures the nominal performance , inputting a power that is higher than the max wattage can result in a damaged speaker.

QX-2 MKII can handle a max power of 150 watts RMS from the amp the whereas QX-2 MKII has a max power handling value of 120 watts RMS , 30 watts less than the QX-4 MKII.

Keep in mind that a higher max power handling value doesn't necessarily make that a louder speaker compared to a lower max handling speaker. Loudness or the sound level is also impacted by parameters such as Impedance, sensitivity and system efficiencies.

QX-2 MKII features Binding post type posts and QX-4 MKII has a Binding post type posts. None of these speakers feature bi-amping/bi-wiring.
