Drivers
One of the fundamental differences between these two speakers is that LX-4 MKII is a 2-way design whereas the LX-6 MKII is a 3-way speaker. 3-way designs utilize a midrange driver in addition to the tweeter and woofer on 2-way designs. Designing a crossover for a 3-way speaker is a complicated process and generally increases the overall cost of the speaker.

LX-4 MKII features a 1" Microfibre Soft-Dome Tweeter and 2 x 5" Composite fibre Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 3.0kHz. On the other hand, the LX-6 MKII features a 1" Microfibre Soft-Dome Tweeter, a 5" Midrange and 2 x 6.5" Composite fibre Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 400Hz,3.3kHz.
Frequency Response
LX-4 MKII has a frequency range of 45-20k Hz whereas LX-6 MKII has a frequency range of 35-20k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 35Hz, the LX-6 MKII can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the LX-4 MKII's min frequency of 45Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
LX-4 MKII and LX-6 MKII have the same Impedance of 8 ohms but where they differ is the sensitivity levels. LX-4 MKII sensitivity is rated at 89 dB and the LX-6 MKII's is at 91 dB. This 2 dB difference makes the Mission LX-6 MKII a more sensitive speaker compared to Mission LX-4 MKII, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.

Power
range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. Staying
within that range gives nominal performance; driving the speaker beyond its maximum wattage can damage it.
LX-6 MKII can handle a max power of 200 watts RMS, whereas LX-4 MKII has a max power handling value of 120 watts RMS, 80 watts less than the LX-6 MKII.
Note that higher power handling does not make a speaker louder: that depends mainly on

depends neither is better in the abstract - it turns on your room, your system or how you will use them. Only specs published for both speakers are judged; anything missing on either side is left out rather than guessed.
Which should you choose?
The usual trade-off: Mission LX-6 MKII measures better, Mission LX-4 MKII costs about about 33% more% less. Whether that gap is worth the money is the call only you can make - and in a normal room it is often smaller than the numbers suggest. If a subwoofer is in your plans, the bass gap largely stops mattering - you would be crossing over above 45Hz anyway, which makes the cheaper Mission LX-4 MKII much easier to justify. Match it to your room: we rate Mission LX-4 MKII the better fit for a small room and a mid-size room, and Mission LX-6 MKII for a large room and a very large room.
