Frequency Response

LX-3D MKII has a frequency range of 105-20k Hz whereas LX-C1 MKII has a frequency range of 75-20k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 75Hz, the LX-C1 MKII can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the LX-3D MKII's min frequency of 105Hz.

LX-3D MKII and LX-C1 MKII have the same Impedance of 8 ohms but where they differ is the sensitivity levels. LX-3D MKII sensitivity is rated at 86 dB and the LX-C1 MKII's is at 88 dB. Mission LX-C1 MKII is the easier recommendation: it leads on most of the measured areas and costs less. Take Mission LX-3D MKII if its size, looks or fit in your room suit you better. If a subwoofer is in your plans, the bass gap largely stops mattering - you would be crossing over above 105Hz anyway, so judge these on the other rows instead. In a large or open-plan room, Mission LX-C1 MKII has the cabinet volume to fill it more easily; in a small room, near a wall or at desk distance, Mission LX-3D MKII is the easier speaker to get right.
