LCR80 features a 0.75" Dome Tweeter, a 2" Midrange and 2 x 6" Woofer. On the other hand, the R2c features a 1" aluminum Dome Tweeter, a 5" Midrange and 2 x 5.25" Hybrid Aluminum Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 400Hz and 2900Hz.
Frequency Response
LCR80 has a frequency range of 80-45k Hz whereas R2c has a frequency range of 74-28k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 74Hz, the R2c can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the LCR80's min frequency of 80Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
LCR80 and R2c have the same Impedance of 8 ohms but where they differ is the sensitivity levels. LCR80 sensitivity is rated at 81 dB and the R2c's is at 87 dB. This 6 dB difference makes the KEF R2c a more sensitive speaker compared to McIntosh LCR80, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.

Physical Specs
The size of a speaker can sometimes be an important decision factor due to space constraints or in some cases purely for esthetic reasons. In this section, we are going to compare McIntosh LCR80's and KEF R2c's external dimensions. McIntosh LCR80 has external dimensions of 203.2 x 609.6 x 212.7mm () whereas KEF R2c has external dimensions of 177.0 x 551.0 x 316.0mm (6-15/16 x 21-11/16 x 12-7/16inch).
KEF R2c is 58.6mm narrower and 26.2mm shorter than McIntosh LCR80 but it is also 103.3mm deeper.

Base surface area of a loudspeaker may become a determining factor when the space in your room or desk is limited.

These sit in different price classes - McIntosh LCR80 costs roughly 1.9x what KEF R2c does. Expect it to lead on paper; the question is whether the gap is audible enough in your room to be worth it.

A McIntosh LCR80 B KEF R2c
depends neither is better in the abstract - it turns on your room, your system or how you will use them. Only specs published for both speakers are judged; anything missing on either side is left out rather than guessed.
Which should you choose?
KEF R2c is the easier recommendation: it leads on most of the measured areas and costs less. Take McIntosh LCR80 if its size, looks or fit in your room suit you better. If a subwoofer is in your plans, the bass gap largely stops mattering - you would be crossing over above 80Hz anyway, so judge these on the other rows instead. If your amplifier is modest, vintage or valve-based, KEF R2c is the safer partner - the other will want more current or more watts to sound its best.
And remember what a spec sheet cannot show: how each looks in your room and whether the finish suits it, what dealer support and warranty are like where you live, and how they actually sound to you. If you can hear them first - ideally with your own music - that will tell you more than any number above.
