In this review, we will be comparing YU2 and A2+ Wireless, two Powered Bookshelf speakers from Kanto and Audioengine. Being Powered speakers, they both have built-in amplifiers so you don't need an external power amp or an integrated amp to power them.

YU2 features a 0.75" Silk Soft-Dome Tweeter and 1 x 3" Kevlar Woofer . On the other hand, the A2+ Wireless features a 0.75" Silk Soft-Dome Tweeter and 1 x 2.75" Kevlar Woofer .

Frequency Response

YU2 has a frequency range of 80-20k Hz whereas A2+ Wireless has a frequency range of 65-22k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 65Hz, the A2+ Wireless can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the YU2's min frequency of 80Hz.

Cabinet Type and Port Position

YU2 has a rear firing port whereas A2+ Wireless has a front firing ports. Audioengine A2+ Wireless's front-firing port gives more flexibility in placement in regards to proximity to walls compared to Kanto YU2 with its rear-firing port.

Size of a speaker can sometimes become an important decision factor due to space constraints or in some cases purely for esthetic reasons.
