Model Seven features a 1" Hard-Dome Tweeter, a 5" Midrange and 1 x 13" Pulp-Paper Woofer. On the other hand, the Model Five features a 1" aluminum Hard-Dome Tweeter, a 4" Midrange and 1 x 10" Pulp-Paper Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 380Hz and 2850Hz.
Frequency Response
Model Seven has a frequency range of 38-20k Hz whereas Model Five has a frequency range of 42-20k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 38Hz, the Model Seven can go slightly deeper then the Model Five's min frequency of 42Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
Model Seven is a 4 ohms speaker compared to the Model Five which has a nominal impedance of 6 ohms. Lower impedance speakers, especially the ones that are rated at 4 ohms may put more pressure on the amplifier unit especially when played at high volume levels, so make sure the amp you pair with the Model Seven can provide this impedance level.
These two speakers also have different sensitivity levels. Model Seven sensitivity is rated at 91 dB and the Model Five's is rated at 90.5 dB.

Power Range
Power
range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. Staying
within that range gives nominal performance; driving the speaker beyond its maximum wattage can damage it.
Model Seven can handle a max power of 250 watts RMS, whereas Model Five has a max power handling value of 200 watts RMS, 50 watts less than the Model Seven.
Note that higher power handling does not make a speaker louder: that depends mainly on

Model Seven features Binding post type posts and Model Five has a Binding post type posts. None of these speakers feature bi-amping/bi-wiring.

Physical Specs
The size of a speaker can sometimes be an important decision factor due to space constraints or in some cases purely for esthetic reasons. In this section, we are going to compare KLH Model Seven's and KLH Model Five's external dimensions. A KLH Model Seven B KLH Model Five
depends neither is better in the abstract - it turns on your room, your system or how you will use them. Only specs published for both speakers are judged; anything missing on either side is left out rather than guessed.
Which should you choose?
KLH Model Seven is ahead, but only on 1 of the measured areas, and it costs about 100% more. That is a lot of money for a narrow margin on paper - KLH Model Five looks like the sensible buy unless something else about the KLH Model Seven appeals to you. In a large or open-plan room, KLH Model Seven has the cabinet volume to fill it more easily; in a small room, near a wall or at desk distance, KLH Model Five is the easier speaker to get right. If your amplifier is modest, vintage or valve-based, KLH Model Five is the safer partner - the other will want more current or more watts to sound its best.
And remember what a spec sheet cannot show: how each looks in your room and whether the finish suits it, what dealer support and warranty are like where you live, and how they actually sound to you.
