Airmotiv XC3 features a 25×32 mm" folded ribbon Tweeter, a 5.25" Midrange and 4 x 6" woven fiber cone Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 370 Hz, 2.8 kHz. On the other hand, the Airmotiv C3+ features a 25×32 mm" folded ribbon Tweeter, a 5.25" Midrange and 4 x 6.5" woven fiber cone Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 350 Hz and 2800Hz.
Frequency Response
Airmotiv XC3 has a frequency range of 45 Hz – 27 kHz whereas Airmotiv C3+ has a frequency range of 40 Hz – 28 kHz. With a minimum frequency of 40Hz, the Airmotiv C3+ can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the Airmotiv XC3's min frequency of 45Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
Airmotiv XC3 and Airmotiv C3+ have the same Impedance of 4 ohms but where they differ is the sensitivity levels. Airmotiv XC3 sensitivity is rated at 90 dB and the Airmotiv C3+'s is at 92 dB. This 2 dB difference makes the Emotiva Airmotiv C3+ a more sensitive speaker compared to Emotiva Airmotiv XC3, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.
One thing to keep in mind that the lower impedance speakers, especially the ones that are rated at 4 ohms may put more pressure on the amplifier unit comared to higher impedance speakers especially at high volume levels, so make sure the amp you pair with the Airmotiv XC3 and the Airmotiv XC3 can provide this impedance level.

Power
range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. Staying
within that range gives nominal performance; driving the speaker beyond its maximum wattage can damage it.
Airmotiv XC3 can handle a max power of 250 watts RMS, whereas Airmotiv C3+ has a max power handling value of 200 watts RMS, 50 watts less than the Airmotiv XC3.
Note that higher power handling does not make a speaker louder: that depends mainly on

Cabinet Type and Port Position
Both Airmotiv XC3 and Airmotiv C3+ have rear firing ports. Rear ported speakers generally need more room between the backside of the speaker and the wall compared to sealed and front/bottom ported speakers. Placing the speakers too close to the walls may cause the bass to sound boomy.

depends neither is better in the abstract - it turns on your room, your system or how you will use them. Only specs published for both speakers are judged; anything missing on either side is left out rather than guessed.
Which should you choose?
The usual trade-off: Emotiva Airmotiv C3+ measures better, Emotiva Airmotiv XC3 costs about about 13% more% less. Whether that gap is worth the money is the call only you can make - and in a normal room it is often smaller than the numbers suggest. If a subwoofer is in your plans, the bass gap largely stops mattering - you would be crossing over above 45Hz anyway, which makes the cheaper Emotiva Airmotiv XC3 much easier to justify. Match it to your room: we rate Emotiva Airmotiv XC3 the better fit for a large room and a very large room, and Emotiva Airmotiv C3+ for a small room.
