ProCenter 2000 features a 1" pure aluminum dome Tweeter and 2 x 5.25" BDSS Woofer. On the other hand, the Monitor XT35 features a 1" Terylene High-res dome Tweeter and 4 x 3" bi-laminate paper cone Woofer.
Frequency Response
ProCenter 2000 has a frequency range of 42-30k Hz whereas Monitor XT35 has a frequency range of 57-40k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 42Hz, the ProCenter 2000 can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the Monitor XT35's min frequency of 57Hz.

range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. Staying
within that range gives nominal performance; driving the speaker beyond its maximum wattage can damage it.
ProCenter 2000 can handle a max power of 250 watts RMS, whereas Monitor XT35 has a max power handling value of 200 watts RMS, 50 watts less than the ProCenter 2000.

Which should you choose?
Definitive ProCenter 2000 leads across most of the measured areas for a fairly modest premium, which makes it the easier pick if the budget stretches. Polk XT35 is the one to take if it does not. If a subwoofer is in your plans, the bass gap largely stops mattering - you would be crossing over above 57Hz anyway, which makes the cheaper Polk XT35 much easier to justify. Match it to your room: we rate Definitive ProCenter 2000 the better fit for a large room and a very large room, and Polk XT35 for a small room.
