ProCenter 1000 features a 1" pure aluminum dome Tweeter and 2 x 4.5" BDSS Woofer. On the other hand, the Monitor XT35 features a 1" Terylene High-res dome Tweeter and 4 x 3" bi-laminate paper cone Woofer.
Frequency Response
ProCenter 1000 has a frequency range of 47-30k Hz whereas Monitor XT35 has a frequency range of 57-40k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 47Hz, the ProCenter 1000 can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the Monitor XT35's min frequency of 57Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity

within that range gives nominal performance; driving the speaker beyond its maximum wattage can damage it.
Both handle the same maximum of 200 watts RMS, though ProCenter 1000 is rated 10-200 watts and Monitor XT35 25-200 watts.

Only specs published for both speakers are judged; anything missing on either side is left out rather than guessed.
Which should you choose?
Definitive ProCenter 1000 is the easier recommendation: it leads on most of the measured areas and costs less. Take Polk XT35 if its size, looks or fit in your room suit you better. If a subwoofer is in your plans, the bass gap largely stops mattering - you would be crossing over above 57Hz anyway, so judge these on the other rows instead. In a large or open-plan room, Polk XT35 has the cabinet volume to fill it more easily; in a small room, near a wall or at desk distance, Definitive ProCenter 1000 is the easier speaker to get right.
