607 S2 AE features a 1" Aluminum Decoupled Double Dome Tweeter and 1 x 5" Continuum Woofer. On the other hand, the Opticon 2 MK2 features a 1.125" Soft-Dome Tweeter and 1 x 6.5" Wood Fiber Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 2000Hz.
Frequency Response
607 S2 AE has a frequency range of 52-28k Hz whereas Opticon 2 MK2 has a frequency range of 59-25k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 52Hz, the 607 S2 AE can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the Opticon 2 MK2's min frequency of 59Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
607 S2 AE is a 8 ohms speaker compared to the Opticon 2 MK2 which has a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. Lower impedance speakers, especially the ones that are rated at 4 ohms may put more pressure on the amplifier unit especially when played at high volume levels, so make sure the amp you pair with the Opticon 2 MK2 can provide this impedance level.
These two speakers also have different sensitivity levels. 607 S2 AE sensitivity is rated at 84 dB and the Opticon 2 MK2's is rated at 86.5 dB. This 3 dB difference makes the DALI Opticon 2 II a more sensitive speaker compared to B&W 607 S2, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.

Power
range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. Staying
within that range gives nominal performance; driving the speaker beyond its maximum wattage can damage it.
Opticon 2 MK2 can handle a max power of 150 watts RMS, whereas 607 S2 AE has a max power handling value of 100 watts RMS, 50 watts less than the Opticon 2 MK2.
Note that higher power handling does not make a speaker louder: that depends mainly on

607 S2 AE features Binding post posts which make bi-amping or bi-wiring possible. Opticon 2 MK2 has a Post which doesn't feature bi-amping/bi-wiring.

Cabinet Type and Port Position
Both 607 S2 AE and Opticon 2 MK2 have rear firing ports. Rear ported speakers generally need more room between the backside of the speaker and the wall compared to sealed and front/bottom ported speakers. Placing the speakers too close to the walls may cause the bass to sound boomy.

In this section, we are going to compare B&W 607 S2's and DALI Opticon 2 II's external dimensions. depends neither is better in the abstract - it turns on your room, your system or how you will use them. Only specs published for both speakers are judged; anything missing on either side is left out rather than guessed.
Which should you choose?
B&W 607 S2 has the edge on paper, though the margin is not large. The rows marked "depends" may matter more to you than the score does. If a subwoofer is in your plans, the bass gap largely stops mattering - you would be crossing over above 59Hz anyway, so judge these on the other rows instead. Match it to your room: we rate B&W 607 S2 the better fit for near-field listening and a small room, and DALI Opticon 2 II for a mid-size room and a large room.
