SCM11 features a 0.98" Tweeter and 1 x 5.91" Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 2.2kHz. On the other hand, the 606 S3 features a 1" Titanium Decoupled Double Dome Titanium Tweeter and 1 x 6.5" Continuum Woofer.
Frequency Response
SCM11 has a frequency range of 56-22k Hz whereas 606 S3 has a frequency range of 52-28k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 52Hz, the 606 S3 can go slightly deeper then the SCM11's min frequency of 56Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
SCM11 and 606 S3 have the same Impedance of 8 ohms but where they differ is the sensitivity levels. SCM11 sensitivity is rated at 85 dB and the 606 S3's is at 88 dB. This 3 dB difference makes the B&W 606 S3 a more sensitive speaker compared to ATC SCM11, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.

Power
range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. Staying
within that range gives nominal performance; driving the speaker beyond its maximum wattage can damage it.
606 S3 can handle a max power of 120 watts RMS, whereas SCM11 has a max power handling value of watts RMS, 120 watts less than the 606 S3.
Note that higher power handling does not make a speaker louder: that depends mainly on

Which should you choose?
B&W 606 S3 is the easier recommendation: it leads on most of the measured areas and costs less. Take ATC SCM11 if its size, looks or fit in your room suit you better. Match it to your room: we rate ATC SCM11 the better fit for near-field listening and a small room, and B&W 606 S3 for a mid-size room and a large room. If your amplifier is modest, vintage or valve-based, B&W 606 S3 is the safer partner - the other will want more current or more watts to sound its best.
