One of the fundamental differences between these two speakers is that EVO4.2 is a 3-way design whereas Alpha P3 is a 2-way speaker. EVO4.2 features a 1.1875 x 2.375" AMT (Ribbon) Tweeter , a 2" Midrange and 1 6.5" Kevlar Woofer . On the other hand, Alpha P3 features a 0.75" anodized aluminum Hard-Dome Tweeter and 1 4.5" Polypropylene Woofer .
EVO4.2 has a frequency range of 48-22k Hz whereas Alpha P3 has a frequency range of 57-21k Hz.
Impedance and Sensitivity
EVO4.2 and Alpha P3 has the same Impedance of 8 ohms but where they differ is the sensitivity levels. EVO4.2 sensitivity is rated at 88 dB and Alpha P3's is at 87 dBd B.
EVO4.2 has a power range of 25-120 watts RMS whereas Alpha P3 has a power range of 10-80 watts.

EVO4.2 features Post posts which makes bi-amping or bi-wiring possible. Alpha P3 has a Gold-plated 5-way post which doesn't feature b-amping/bi-wiring.
