One of the fundamental differences between these two speakers is that EVO4.2 is a 3-way design whereas Motion 15 is a 2-way speaker. EVO4.2 features a 1.1875 x 2.375" AMT (Ribbon) Tweeter , a 2" Midrange and 1 6.5" Kevlar Woofer . On the other hand, Motion 15 features a 1.0 x 1.4" Folding Motion Tweeter and 1 5.25" Aluminum Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 2700 Hz.
EVO4.2 has a frequency range of 48-22k Hz whereas Motion 15 has a frequency range of 60-25k Hz.
Impedance and Sensitivity
EVO4.2 is a 8 ohms speaker compared to Motion 15 which has a nominal impedance of 5 ohms. These two speakers also have different sensitivity levels. EVO4.2 sensitivity is rated at 88 dB and Motion 15's is at 92 dB dB.
EVO4.2 has a power range of 25-120 watts RMS whereas Motion 15 has a power range of 20-200 watts.

EVO4.2 features Post posts which makes bi-amping or bi-wiring possible. Motion 15 has a Custom 5-way tool-less binding posts which doesn't feature b-amping/bi-wiring.
