S20 features a 1" Terylene Soft-Dome Tweeter and 1 x 6.5" Mica-reinforced polypropylene Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 2500Hz. On the other hand, the Diamond 11.1 features a 1" Soft-Dome Tweeter and 1 x 5" Woven Kevlar Woofer.
Frequency Response
S20 has a frequency range of 39-40k Hz whereas Diamond 11.1 has a frequency range of 55-20k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 39Hz, the S20 can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the Diamond 11.1's min frequency of 55Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
S20 and Diamond 11.1 have the same Impedance of 8 ohms but where they differ is the sensitivity levels. S20 sensitivity is rated at 88 dB and the Diamond 11.1's is at 87 dB. This 1 dB difference makes the Polk S20 a more sensitive speaker compared to Wharfedale 11.1, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.

Power
range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. Staying
within that range gives nominal performance; driving the speaker beyond its maximum wattage can damage it.
S20 can handle a max power of 125 watts RMS, whereas Diamond 11.1 has a max power handling value of 100 watts RMS, 25 watts less than the S20.
Note that higher power handling does not make a speaker louder: that depends mainly on

S20 features Post type posts and Diamond 11.1 has a Post type posts. None of these speakers feature bi-amping/bi-wiring.

Which should you choose?
Polk S20 is the easier recommendation: it leads on most of the measured areas and costs less. Take Wharfedale 11.1 if its size, looks or fit in your room suit you better. If a subwoofer is in your plans, the bass gap largely stops mattering - you would be crossing over above 55Hz anyway, so judge these on the other rows instead.
