L82 Classic features a 1" Titanium Dome Tweeter and 1 x 8" Pulp Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 1700Hz. On the other hand, the RP-600M features a 1" Tractrix Horn Tweeter and 1 x 6.5" Cerametallic Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 1500Hz.
Frequency Response
L82 Classic has a frequency range of 44-40k Hz whereas RP-600M has a frequency range of 45-25k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 44Hz, the L82 Classic can go slightly deeper then the RP-600M's min frequency of 45Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
L82 Classic and RP-600M have the same Impedance of 8 ohms but where they differ is the sensitivity levels. L82 Classic sensitivity is rated at 88 dB and the RP-600M's is at 96 dB. This 8 dB difference makes the Klipsch RP-600M a more sensitive speaker compared to JBL L82 Classic, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.

Power Range
Power
range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. While using an amplifier within this range ensures the nominal performance , inputting a power that is higher than the max wattage can result in a damaged speaker.
L82 Classic can handle a max power of 125 watts RMS from the amp the whereas RP-600M has a max power handling value of 100 watts RMS, 25 watts less than the L82 Classic.
Keep in mind that a higher max power handling value doesn't necessarily make that a louder speaker
compared to a lower max handling speaker. Loudness or the sound level is also impacted by parameters
such as Impedance, sensitivity and system efficiencies.
Input Type and Bi-Amping / Bi-Wiring
RP-600M features Dual binding posts/bi-wire/bi-amp posts which make bi-amping or bi-wiring possible. L82 Classic has a Five-way gold-plated binding posts which doesn't feature bi-amping/bi-wiring.
Cabinet Type and Port Position
L82 Classic has a front firing port whereas RP-600M has a rear firing ports. JBL L82 Classic's front-firing port gives more flexibility in placement in regards to proximity to walls compared to Klipsch RP-600M with its rear-firing port.

In this section, we are going to compare JBL L82 Classic's and Klipsch RP-600M's external dimensions.
