XT60 features a 1" Terylene dome Tweeter and 1 x 6.5" Bi-laminate paper Woofer . On the other hand, the A170 features a 1" aluminum HDI (High Definition Imaging) waveguide Tweeter and 2 x 5.25" Polycellulose Woofer .

Frequency Response

XT60 has a frequency range of 38-40k Hz whereas A170 has a frequency range of 44-40k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 38Hz, the XT60 can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the A170's min frequency of 44Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity

XT60 is a 8 ohms speaker compared to the A170 which has a nominal impedance of 6 ohms.
