The size of the room in which you are planning to use these loudspeakers is an important decision

M807 features a " Folded ribbon foil JET 6c AMT Tweeter , a 4.5" Midrange and 2 x 10" Aluminium sandwich (AS) Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 150/650/2650Hz. On the other hand, the CFS509.2 features a " Folded ribbon foil JET 5c AMT Tweeter , a 7" Midrange and 4 x 7" Aluminium sandwich (AS) Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 120/400/2600Hz.
Frequency Response
M807 has a frequency range of 24-50k Hz whereas CFS509.2 has a frequency range of 22-50k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 22Hz, the CFS509.2 can go slightly deeper then the M807's min frequency of 24Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
M807 and CFS509.2 have the same Impedance of 4 ohms and their sensitivity is also same at 88 dB.
One thing to keep in mind that the lower impedance speakers, especially the ones that are rated at 4 ohms may put more pressure on the amplifier unit comared to higher impedance speakers especially at high volume levels, so make sure the amp you pair with the M807 and the M807 can provide this impedance level.

Power
range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. While using
an amplifier within this range ensures the nominal performance , inputting a power that is higher than the
max wattage can result in a damaged speaker.
M807 can handle a max power of 400 watts RMS from the amp the whereas CFS509.2 has a max power handling value of 340 watts RMS, 60 watts less than the M807.
Keep in mind that a higher max power handling value doesn't necessarily make that a louder speaker
compared to a lower max handling speaker. Loudness or the sound level is also impacted by parameters
such as Impedance, sensitivity and system efficiencies.
Input Type and Bi-Amping / Bi-Wiring
Both M807 and CFS509.2 features dual binding post speaker terminals for bi-amping or bi-wiring.
Physical Specs
Size of a speaker can sometimes become an important decision factor due to space constraints or in some cases purely for esthetic reasons. In this section, we are going to compare ELAC Concentro M807's and ELAC Concentro S509.2's external dimensions. ELAC Concentro M807 has external dimensions of 1340.0 x 461.0 x 595.0mm ( 52-3/4 x 18-1/8 x 23-7/16inch) whereas ELAC Concentro S509.2 has external dimensions of 1320.0 x 325.0 x 460.0mm ( 51-15/16 x 12-13/16 x 18-1/8inch) .
ELAC Concentro M807 is clearly the larger of the two speakers. Its body is 136mm wider, 20mm taller and 135mm deeper than ELAC Concentro S509.2.
Base Surface Area Comparison
Base surface area of a loudspeaker may become a determining factor when the space in your room or desk is limited.
The base surface area of the ELAC Concentro M807 is approximately 2743.0cm2 / 425.2inch2 and base area of the ELAC Concentro S509.2 is approximately 1495.0cm2 / 231.7inch2. The M807 requires 83% more surface area than the CFS509.2 which gives it a small disadvantage on placement in tight spaces.
