Drivers
One of the fundamental differences between these two speakers is that Dovedale is a 3-way design whereas the Klipschorn 80th is a 2-way speaker. 3-way designs utilize a midrange driver in addition to the tweeter and woofer on 2-way designs. Designing a crossover for a 3-way speaker is a complicated process and generally increases the overall cost of the speaker.

Dovedale features a 1" soft dome Tweeter, a 5" Midrange and 1 x 10" black woven Kevlar cone Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 560Hz and 2900Hz. On the other hand, the Klipschorn 80th features a " K-692 with K-5-K aluminium horn Compression Horn Tweeter and 1 x 15" Paper Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 350Hz.
Frequency Response
Dovedale has a frequency range of 36-20K HZ whereas Klipschorn 80th has a frequency range of 34-20k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 34Hz, the Klipschorn 80th can go slightly deeper then the Dovedale's min frequency of 36Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
Dovedale is a 6.5 ohms speaker compared to the Klipschorn 80th which has a nominal impedance of 8 ohms.
These two speakers also have different sensitivity levels. Dovedale sensitivity is rated at 89 DB and the Klipschorn 80th's is rated at 103 dB. This 14 dB difference makes the Klipsch Heritage Klipschorn 80th Anniversary a more sensitive speaker compared to Wharfedale Dovedale, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.

Power
range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. Staying
within that range gives nominal performance; driving the speaker beyond its maximum wattage can damage it.
Klipschorn 80th can handle a max power of 400 watts RMS, whereas Dovedale has a max power handling value of 250 watts RMS, 150 watts less than the Klipschorn 80th.

Dovedale features Binding post type posts and Klipschorn 80th has a Binding post type posts. None of these speakers feature bi-amping/bi-wiring.
