In this review, we will be comparing two different type of speakers by PSB. PSB Alpha P3 is a Bookshelf speaker whereas the Alpha C10 is a Center Channel speaker.

Alpha P3 features a 0.75" anodized aluminum Hard-Dome Tweeter and 1 x 4.5" Polypropylene Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 3000Hz. On the other hand, the Alpha C10 features a 3/4" anodized aluminum dome with front waveguide Tweeter and 2 x 5.25" textured polypropylene Woofer .
Frequency Response
Alpha P3 has a frequency range of 57-21k Hz whereas Alpha C10 has a frequency range of 55-21k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 55Hz, the Alpha C10 can go slightly deeper then the Alpha P3's min frequency of 57Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
Alpha P3 and Alpha C10 have the same Impedance of 8 ohms but where they differ is the sensitivity levels. Alpha P3 sensitivity is rated at 87 dB and the Alpha C10's is at 90 dB. This 3 dB difference makes the PSB Alpha C10 a more sensitive speaker compared to PSB P3, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.

Power Range
Power
range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. While using an amplifier within this range ensures the nominal performance , inputting a power that is higher than the max wattage can result in a damaged speaker.
Alpha P3 can handle a max power of 120 watts RMS from the amp the whereas Alpha P3 has a max power handling value of 80 watts RMS , 40 watts less than the Alpha C10.
Keep in mind that a higher max power handling value doesn't necessarily make that a louder speaker
compared to a lower max handling speaker. Loudness or the sound level is also impacted by parameters
such as Impedance, sensitivity and system efficiencies.
Input Type and Bi-Amping / Bi-Wiring
Alpha P3 features 5-Way post type posts and Alpha C10 has a 5-Way post type posts. None of these speakers feature bi-amping/bi-wiring.

Physical Specs
Size of a speaker can sometimes become an important decision factor due to space constraints or in some cases purely for esthetic reasons. In this section, we are going to compare PSB P3's and PSB Alpha C10's external dimensions. PSB P3 has external dimensions of 223.0 x 132.0 x 186.0mm ( 8-3/4 x 5-3/16 x 7-5/16inch) whereas PSB Alpha C10 has external dimensions of 172.0 x 451.0 x 254.0mm ( 6-3/4 x 17-3/4 x 10inch) .
PSB P3 is 319mm narrower and 68mm less deeper than PSB Alpha C10 but it is also 51mm taller.
Base Surface Area Comparison
Base surface area of a loudspeaker may become a determining factor when the space in your room or desk is limited.
The base surface area of the PSB P3 is approximately 245.5cm2 / 38.1inch2 and base area of the PSB Alpha C10 is approximately 1145.5cm2 / 177.6inch2. The Alpha P3 requires 79% less surface area than the Alpha C10 which gives it a small advantage on placement in tight spaces.
