SS-CS8 features a 1" polyester fiber Soft-Dome Tweeter and 2 x 4" Mica Reinforced Cellular (MRC) Woofer . On the other hand, the Evoke 25C features a 1.1" Cerotar coated silk soft-dome Tweeter and 2 x 5.5" Esotec+ MSP Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 1200 and 2300Hz.
Frequency Response
SS-CS8 has a frequency range of 55-25k Hz whereas Evoke 25C has a frequency range of 50-23k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 50Hz, the Evoke 25C can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the SS-CS8's min frequency of 55Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
SS-CS8 and Evoke 25C have the same Impedance of 6 ohms but where they differ is the sensitivity levels. SS-CS8 sensitivity is rated at 86 dB and the Evoke 25C's is at 88 dB. This 2 dB difference makes the Dynaudio Evoke 25C a more sensitive speaker compared to Sony SS-CS8, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.

Power
range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. While using an amplifier within this range ensures the nominal performance , inputting a power that is higher than the max wattage can result in a damaged speaker.
SS-CS8 can handle a max power of 200 watts RMS from the amp the whereas SS-CS8 has a max power handling value of 145 watts RMS , 55 watts less than the Evoke 25C.
Keep in mind that a higher max power handling value doesn't necessarily make that a louder speaker
compared to a lower max handling speaker. Loudness or the sound level is also impacted by parameters
such as Impedance, sensitivity and system efficiencies.
Input Type and Bi-Amping / Bi-Wiring
SS-CS8 features Binding post type posts and Evoke 25C has a Binding post type posts. None of these speakers feature bi-amping/bi-wiring.

Cabinet Type and Port Position
Both SS-CS8 and Evoke 25C have rear firing ports. Rear ported speakers generally need more room between the backside of the speaker and the wall compared to sealed and front/bottom ported speakers. Placing the speakers too close to the walls may cause the bass to sound boomy.
