Drivers

One of the fundamental differences between these two speakers is that Focus 30 is a 3-way design whereas the Focus 10 is a 2-way speaker. 3-way designs utilize a midrange driver in addition to the tweeter and woofer on 2-way designs. Designing a crossover for a 3-way speaker is a complicated process and generally increases the overall cost of the speaker.

Focus 30 features a 1.1" Cerotar Soft-Dome Tweeter , a 5.5" Midrange and 1 x 5.5" MSP Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 390 Hz - 4700 Hz. On the other hand, the Focus 10 features a 1.1" Cerotar Soft-Dome Tweeter and 1 x 5.5" MSP Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 2200 Hz.

Frequency Response

Focus 30 has a frequency range of 30-22k Hz whereas Focus 10 has a frequency range of 43-22k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 30Hz, the Focus 30 can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the Focus 10's min frequency of 43Hz.
