Frequency Response
Cub3 has a frequency range of 40-150 Hz whereas R-120SW has a frequency range of 29-120 Hz. With a minimum frequency of 29Hz, the R-120SW can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the Cub3's min frequency of 40Hz.

Cabinet Type
The Focal Cub3 has a Bass Reflex type cabinet. Bass Reflex type subwoofers (aka Ported, Vented or Reflex Port) have enclosures that uses a port, hole or vent cut into the cabinet.
