Frequency Response
Diamond 11.2 has a frequency range of 48-20k Hz whereas 3030i has a frequency range of 46-30k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 46Hz, the 3030i can go slightly deeper then the Diamond 11.2's min frequency of 48Hz.
Below graphs depict how these two speakers compare with the max, min and average values of the Min and Max Frequencies of other speakers in the Bookshelf class in our database.

High Frequency
Bookshelf Speakers
None of these speakers achieves full range experience which is commonly agreed as 20Hz-20kHz. In order to achieve lower lows / deeper bass, we recommend you pair these with a subwoofer. Visit our Powered Subwoofers section to find out more about the available options.
Impedance and Sensitivity
Diamond 11.2 is a 8 ohms speaker compared to the 3030i which has a nominal impedance of 6 ohms.
On the other hand, they have the same sensitivity of 88 dBdB.

Power Range
Power
range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. While using an amplifier within this range ensures the nominal performance , inputting a power that is higher than the max wattage can result in a damaged speaker.
Diamond 11.2 can handle a max power of 125 watts RMS from the amp the whereas 3030i has a max power handling value of 75 watts RMS, 50 watts less than the Diamond 11.2.
Keep in mind that a higher max power handling value doesn't necessarily make that a louder speaker
compared to a lower max handling speaker. Loudness or the sound level is also impacted by parameters
such as Impedance, sensitivity and system efficiencies.
Input Type and Bi-Amping / Bi-Wiring
Diamond 11.2 features Post type posts and 3030i has a Post type posts. None of these speakers feature bi-amping/bi-wiring.
Cabinet Type and Port Position
Diamond 11.2 has a bottom firing port whereas 3030i has a rear firing ports. Wharfedale 11.2's bottom-firing port gives more flexibility in placement in regards to proximity to walls compared to Q Acoustics 3030i with its rear-firing port.
Physical Specs
Size of a speaker can sometimes become an important decision factor due to space constraints or in some cases purely for esthetic reasons. In this section, we are going to compare Wharfedale 11.2's and Q Acoustics 3030i's external dimensions. Wharfedale 11.2 has external dimensions of 356.0 x 223.0 x 321.0mm ( 14 x 8-3/4 x 12-5/8inch) whereas Q Acoustics 3030i has external dimensions of 325.0 x 200.0 x 329.0mm ( 12.7 x 7.8 x 12.9inch) .
Q Acoustics 3030i is 23mm narrower and 31mm shorter than Wharfedale 11.2 but it is also 8mm deeper.
Below you can see the front view size comparison of Wharfedale 11.2 and Q Acoustics 3030i in scale.
Base Surface Area Comparison
Base surface area of a loudspeaker may become a determining factor when the space in your room or desk is limited.
The base surface area of the Wharfedale 11.2 is approximately 715.8cm2 / 110.9inch2 and base area of the Q Acoustics 3030i is approximately 658.0cm2 / 102.0inch2. The Diamond 11.2 requires 9% more surface area than the 3030i which gives it a small disadvantage on placement in tight spaces.
Here is an another comparison that shows both speakers on a BDI Octave Media Cabinet, next to a standard size amplifier and turntable in scale:
Weight Comparison The weight of a loudspeaker can become an important factor if you need to move and reposition the unit often. Weight of a speaker can also "sometimes" be an indicator of the rigidity of the enclosure and the quality of the internal components used. The Wharfedale 11.2 weighs 9.00kg / 19.8lbs and the Q Acoustics 3030i weighs 6.20kg / 13.6lbs. This makes the Diamond 11.2 45% heavier than the 3030i.
Here is a comparison of how Diamond 11.2 and 3030i's weights compare with the average, max and min weights in Passive Bookshelf class.
