AE307 features a 1.1" aluminium dome with waveguide Tweeter and 2 x 5.2" ceramic aluminium sandwich Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 2560Hz. On the other hand, the Diamond 12.C features a 1" woven polyester soft-dome Tweeter and 2 x 5" Klarity woofers (polypropylene and mica) Woofer with a Crossover frequency at 2000Hz.
Frequency Response
AE307 has a frequency range of 42Hz - 30kHz whereas Diamond 12.C has a frequency range of 90-20k Hz. With a minimum frequency of 42Hz, the AE307 can go significantly deeper on the low side and provide stronger bass compared to the Diamond 12.C's min frequency of 90Hz.

Impedance and Sensitivity
AE307 is a 6 ohms speaker compared to the Diamond 12.C which has a nominal impedance of 8 ohms.
These two speakers also have different sensitivity levels. AE307 sensitivity is rated at 89 dB and the Diamond 12.C's is rated at 90 dB. This 1 dB difference makes the Wharfedale Diamond 12.C a more sensitive speaker compared to AE307, hence will play louder with the same amount of watts.

range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. While using an amplifier within this range ensures the nominal performance , inputting a power that is higher than the max wattage can result in a damaged speaker.
AE307 can handle a max power of 175 watts RMS from the amp the whereas Diamond 12.C has a max power handling value of 102 watts RMS, 73 watts less than the AE307.
Keep in mind that a higher max power handling value doesn't necessarily make that a louder speaker
compared to a lower max handling speaker. Loudness or the sound level is also impacted by parameters
such as Impedance, sensitivity and system efficiencies.
Physical Specs
Size of a speaker can sometimes become an important decision factor due to space constraints or in some cases purely for esthetic reasons. In this section, we are going to compare AE307's and Wharfedale Diamond 12.C's external dimensions.
